One of us is a trained, award-winning chef (Best Gastropub in South-West; UK Food Pub of the Year) and a former food writer, the other is a journalist and marketing consultant. We’re both obsessed with food. We’re also both head-over-heels in love with Margate and the very special Thanet coast, and we feel very lucky to call this exciting, vibrant, beautiful town our home.
The most important member of our team, however, is our Head of Marketing and the Chairman of our Board, Henry. Henry is a seven-year-old blue Great Dane and is one of the inspirations for creating a dog-friendly restaurant at the seaside. We welcome well-behaved doggies and children – and well-behaved adults, too – and think this creates a warm, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. If you don’t like doggies or relaxed dining or getting stuck in, we’re not the right place for you.
